Residents Fleeing San Francisco

According to Business Insider, San Franciscans are choosing to leave the city faster than residents in any other city in the U.S. Citing data from Redfin, BI reported the city saw a net loss of 15,489 residents, 24% more than New York, which came in second. Enough San Franciscans are flocking elsewhere that it has even caused a shortage of U-Haul vans — jacking up prices as much as thousands of dollars. Reasons for the exodus include “sky-high rent and cost of living,” as well as technology that makes it easier to work remotely.
