Pedro Sanchez was sworn in as Spain's new Prime Minister Saturday, one day after predecessor Mariano Rajoy was overthrown in a no confidence vote in Spain's parliament, the Guardian reports. Rajoy’s conservative party has been investigated for corruption. Sanchez’s party holds a minority of parliamentary seats–84 in Spain's 350 seat chamber, almost certainly “paving the way for another general election,” The New York Times reports. Sanchez relies on the support of anti-austerity party Podemos as well as Basque and Catalan nationalist parties to govern, per the Guardian.
