Summary
Major Template Merge / Clean Up edit
Okay, so I just finished combining and then redirecting three existing templates (Template:Major Arcana, Template:Minor Arcana, Template:Tarot) into the new Template:Tarot Cards. I hope no one objects to the merge. Basically, all the existing templates not only repeated information, but also--in my opinion--better serve Wikipedia as one big template discussing Tarot Cards as a whole (also making it easier on editors so they don't have to include three templates in articles any more, just one). I fixed a bunch of Wiki links to articles and added a section for notable Tarot decks.
The existing templates also seemed to be exclusively modeled off the Rider-Waite deck, which while I acknowledge that deck being the most commercially available deck, I felt was somewhat biased for the template. So, I added the major alternate names to some cards e.g. II (The High Priestess / The Popess).
Any way, feel free to edit / refine the new template. If there is consensus the templates should be split again, I guess discuss it here, though I don't see the benefit of doing so.Flygongengar (talk) 01:12, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

- Many navbars have a "related articles" section. See the navbar at the bottom of the Three Stooges article for an example. There are some articles such as Mantegna Tarocchi which are not quite tarot but it could be said are related to the topic. I've tried to insert such a section myself but until I finally master that part of editing perhaps someone else could create it.Smiloid (talk) 07:18, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
