Mianwali Division is an administrative division of Punjab province, Pakistan. Mianwali city is the capital of the division. According to the 2017 Census of Pakistan, the total population of the division was 8.18 million.[2] Punjabi is mostly spoken in the districts of this division .There is a Thal Desert in this division which extends to the district Mianwali, Bhakkar , Layyah, Muzaffargarh. Before 1981, Bhakkar was a tehsil of Mianwali, which was later given district status and Kalurkot Tehsil was also given to Bhakkar.
