AT&T Defiant on Time Warner Deal

AT&T’s chief executive called the chances of unwinding its purchase of Time Warner “remote,” saying the Trump administration’s decision to appeal a ruling that allowed the merger would change "nothing.” The $85.4 billion deal closed last month, and an AT&T exec already runs Time Warner’s HBO and news channel CNN. The merger also touched off a frenzy of other deal making in the entertainment industry, with Disney’s bid for 21st Century Fox assets winning swift approval by the Department of Justice.
