Disabled since early life, and unable to speak. At the age of six months he was diagnosed with a neurological form of cerebral palsy, brought about by a brain infection that left him in a coma for two months, which affected his movement and rendered him unable to speak.

Despite his disability, Lost voice guy compete at the top level, and he won this season 12th of Britain’s Got Talent.

The comedian told ITV's Lorraine that he hoped his win would change attitude towards disability.

"I hope that by seeing disabled people like myself on national television, some of the stigma will be taken away from disabilities."

To formulate his routines, Ridley purchased an iPad voice synthesizer app called Speak It!, which he pre-programmed with sentences based on material he created.

Here are 3 of our favorite inspiring quotes for people with disabilities.

"When you hear the word 'disabled,' people immediately think about people who can't walk or talk or do everything that people take for granted. But I find the real disability is people who can't find joy in life and are bitter." - Teri Garr

"I'm officially disabled, but I'm truly enabled because of my lack of limbs. My unique challenges have opened up unique opportunities to reach so many in need." - Nick Vujicic

"I choose not to place 'DIS', in my ability." - Robert M. Hensel

Never ignore somebody with a disability, you don't realize how much they can inspire you.
