I dispute the reversal of my recent change to have the "state" parameter. The commentary on the reversal is saying something about dates, but I did not put any dates in - that was someone else, but I seem to have been blamed for it. I do not want to get into the question of dates on singles, I just want the technical option "state" to be present, as it allows the user to specify in their article how the template should display in that instance. It only adds functionality, and does not impact those who do not want to use it, as the default setting is he same as if it was no there.
