This is a tracking category. It is used to build and maintain lists of pages—primarily for the sake of the lists themselves and their use in article and category maintenance. Tracks uses of {{Infobox NFL biography}} with an |image= where |alt= is undefined but a |caption= is provided. In these cases the template populates the alt with the text "refer to caption." While this is preferred to omitting alt entirely, it's not assured that caption is a sufficiently descriptive substitution for alt text and as such these articles should be looked at for the addition of alt text which describes the content of the image.
